Restorative Dialogues
Designed to address some of the needs of Responsible Parties and Directly Impacted/Harmed Party that are often unmet in the criminal justice process.
CMS arranges for voluntary participation in dialogues between Directly Impacted/Harmed Parties and Responsible Parties, assisting them in addressing the offense and developing agreements to acknowledge impact and repair harm.
Some Potential Benefits of the Process:
Directly Impacted/Harmed Parties feel they have a voice and are heard.
Impacts and harms are acknowledged.
Repair of the harm.
Mitigate or lessen concerns about future interactions and safety.
Responsible Parties feel they have a voice and are heard.
Responsible Parties take active accountability and learn the human consequences of their crimes.
Opportunity to engage with the community in new ways.
Build/Rebuild trust within the community.
